I can send test sms messages from the notepager console to my phone.
I can fail a piece of equipment and watch the solarwinds npm 10.1.3 alert fire a log record and send an email and sms-based email to a recipient.

but the dial paging or sms service, option for the alert seems to hand-off the message to notepager (as described in the test log) but on the notepager log, it only indicates "Dialing Started".

it never finishes. this has been working for years, until I installed NCM 10.1.3. Solarwinds support sent me over here as the SWO logs show a clean hand-off.

any thoughts anyone? any queues I can look at in NPP?

thanks
Matt

That's a bit odd... if you wouldn't mind, please email the c:\program files\notepager pro\npp.log file to support at notepage dot com so I can have a look at what's happening when Orion tells NPP to send a message.

argh.
last ditch effort, I rebooted the server, and the alerts seem to be flowing properly now. go figure.

I'll watch this and update the thread and send the log if it hangs again.

rats-fratsin-windows....

thx
matt
