We use Pagegate as part of the OSSI CAD package. One of our recipients recently changed to an iPhone 3GS. Same phone number and carrier (AT&T). We are now unable to send text pages to his phone via SMTP. I can send a text page from my Verizon phone to him successfully. Follows is from the log:
3/28/2011 3:02:20 PM Working on message to: bklossner from: CAD
3/28/2011 3:02:20 PM Formatting message
3/28/2011 3:02:20 PM Message contained in single packet
3/28/2011 3:02:20 PM Looking up mailserver for txt.att.net
3/28/2011 3:02:20 PM Trying host: mx.cingularme.com
3/28/2011 3:02:35 PM Message not accepted
3/28/2011 3:02:35 PM Failed Attempt Stn:1 To:bklossner Frm:CAD File:6K0U0M9E.903 Msg:test<13><10>
I know I'm missing something but what?
Thank you.

You could be running into one of two things. Either port 25 isn't open or it may be that AT&T's mail system doesn't accept direct connection attempts from your network because your IP is on a range that has a bad MTA record. If you would, run this test for me:
1) In Windows, go to Start - Run.
2) In the Run line, type the following and click OK: command
3) In the command prompt, type the following and hit enter:
telnet mx.cingularme.com 25
Let me know what the response code is, please. |

It appears Port 25 was not open for sending. Doing that now. Thank you for your help.
