Hi,
I have PageGate Ver 5 and I need to send SMS with my HSPA Sierra Wireless AirLink™ Raven XE. I want to know if the PageGate are compatible with this cellular modem.

Do you know if that device supports the AT command set and if that device can be assigned a COM port in Windows? |

Here is what the tech support of Sierra Wireless told me :
You should be able to send data to UDP port 17341 as ASCII, 8 bit DCS or Unicode.
There is no other way then telnet to send AT commands.
The AT command need to be sent via network connection with the modem.

| Unfortunately, PageGate won't be able to use that device. We can only communicate with devices that can be assigned COM ports. |

The only one we've found to be reliable is the MultiTech MTCB series.
