Good Morning, I have PageGate working on Win7 "locally as a service" (local PC page assignments complete successfully), but when I change the PageGate Admin database assignment to the network copy of the PageGate database, I cannot get the PageGate service started and receive an error 1053. The program is set to 'run as administrator', but the service still will not start. Any thoughts? Thanks!

All Windows services, by default, install with the local system account. The local Windows system account on the PageGate system doesn't have network permissions, so it can't write/modify or potentially even access network locations.
To resolve this, open the Services list in Windows and go into the properties of the PageGate and PageGate Scheduler services. Once there, go under the Log On tab and specify a set of network adminsitrative credentials. That should grant the services the appropriate level of permissions to perform the tasks they need to. |
