We are installing PageGate on a VMWare Server running Win2k3 Enterprise. All was going well until we got to the SNPP in setup. All the other modules (getmail, getweb, getascii, gui) run with no problem. The snpp module, however returns a kernal32 error.

Any thoughts on this?

This is the first installation I have done on an Enterprise edition server and wonder if this is the issue. Also this is the my first installation of this program on a vmware server, but I have never had issues with other software on this type of platform.

The only other time I've run into this, the snppserver.exe file needed to be added to the DEP list. So, to do that:

1) Go into the Control Panel in Windows.

2) Go into the System Properties.

3) Go under the Advanced Tab.

4) Left click on the Settings button in the Performance section.

5) Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab.

6) Move the dot to the second option.

7) Left click on add, browse to the PageGate program directory, double click on the snppserver.exe file.

8) Left click on OK.

9) Since changes to the DEP list aren't picked up dynamically by Windows and require a restart, reboot the computer.

That should do it but if the problem persists, please let us know.
