I am trying to get SMTP messages to work in NotePager Pro. I imported carriers and recipients from the PageGate database to NotePager Pro. In PageGate, SMTP works fine. Using the same recipient and Carrier in NotePager Pro, the message fails...Not accepted. Both PageGate and NotePager Pro are running on the same server, so the SMTP protocol is working. Why does SMTP work in PageGate but not in NotePager Pro?

It depends on your method of SMTP delivery. In PageGate, do you have the SMTP settings configured for direct delivery or delivery through your local mail server?
Also, how do you have the SMTP settings configured in NPP?

The SMTP settings appear to be the same in both products. I did note, however, that in the NPP setup wizard, the SMTP test fails. Although this is also true of the port scan test of port 25 in PageGate. When I run that test, the checkbox comes back unchecked. Note also, though, that I can still send a message through the PageGate client to the recipient that uses SMTP.

Hmm... interesting. If you would, please email your ocntact information to support at notepage dot com so I can give you a ring. There are a few tests I'd like to run and they'll be much easier to do by phone than by email.
