Hello,

I have Pagegate running but yesterday our server rebooted and now pagegate keeps giving the error "Halted: Database error: 3144 Syntax error in UPDATE statement. in Procedure: Send GSM"

This happens everythime the server reboots without stopping the Pagegate services. Does anybody know why this happens and is there someway to stop it from happening again if the server reboots without stopping th epagegate services?

Thanks for you help.

It was the way PageGate version 5 handles/handled COM ports and port requests. This shouldn't be an issue in version 5.1, which is currently being tested.

Ah, I thought that it had started working again after you stopped and started the PageGate Services after the reboot.

This may sound a bit random but try re-installed the Connectivity cable drivers and make sure no other modem softwre is installed on the same box. The only other time I've seen the 3144 error in the same circumstance is explained and answered in this thread: http://www.notepage.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7568368&highlight=3144

The underlying issue is the USB to Serial COM port driver issue with your device and operating system. We have been able to defeat this issue by installing a RS232 Serial connected Industrial GSM modem.

FULL DISCLOSURE: We are resellers for the modem manufactoror and NotePage, Inc products

Its working now. There is another modem connected to the server. When I removed this it worked. I have reconnected the other modem to the server and it is still working. When will version 5.1 be available?

Thanks for your help.
