Hello,
I have been successfully using the PageGate for a couple of years.
And now I found that with the cellular modem, the text message can be sent out without knowing the carrier information. This really attracted to me.
Before I buy the modem, I would like to make sure a couple of things. And if anyone can answer these questions, it would be appreciated.
(By the way, I am not an expert in a modem.)
1. With this cellular modem, do I have to pay for each text message?
For example, if I send a message to 100 recipients, does it cost the price of 100 text messages? (I apologize for this basic & stupid question...)
2. How fast is it? I am using SNPP and TAP right now. Is it faster and more reliable than SNPP or TAP?
Thank you!

We sell MultiTech brand cellular modems specifically for use with PageGate - most of our clients (now num bering in the hundreds of installations) have simply added the device to their existing cellular plan and also added the "Unlimited Text Messaging option). The throughput is averaging approximately 6 seconds from time the message is accepted into PageGate until the cellular network marks it successful. We have used both GSM and CDMA devices_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Aaron,
Thank you for your reply. We are very interested in installing the cellular modems that you sell. I tried to contact you for more questions. However I didn't have any luck.
Would you call me at 312-746-9469 when you get a chance? Thank you.
