I have read many posts regarding people having trouble getting messages through to Verizon. I've read in past posts people send a text message to a gmail account and then having the gmail account send the message to a verizon phone.

could some one tell me how to send text messages to a email account (gmail) account.

"How to send messages" or "How to send messages using NotePage, Inc. products"?

We have notepager pro at our police dept. for use with pagers. Due to cuts like everywhere else we want to due away with pagers and page directly to officers cell phones. The cells phones range from nextel, sprint, att, t-mobile, verizon among others. The problem is we cant get att and verizon working properly. For what every reason att works at another dept with the same settings. I read on this forum where someone is sending mesages from notepager pro to a email account. Then uing the settings in the email account bouncing the message to the cell phone. That is what I'm trying to do.

A better option would be to add a cellular modem and send messages from Notepager Pro to the cell phones as SMS messages. This will be FAR more reliable than Email - AND - it will work when the dept's internet connection or email server is down
