|
|
We are running Pagegate v 5.0 (newest build) on a Windows 2003 Server
Every minute we get this failure:
Program Halted. Database error: 3061 2 Parameter wurden erwartet, aber es wurden zu wenig Parameter übergeben. in Procedure: check_license
(in scheduler log)
Then all services are stopped and started again
Version info:
PageGate.exe 5.00.0091
PGSched.exe 5.00.0091
License info in PGAdmin seems to be fine
Any suggestions?

What is the size of your PageGate database? |

Well, the error means that the license portion of the settings table couldn't be read by the Scheduler. When that happens, the program doesn't know what is and isn't licensed because there are 'too few parameters'. Do you have any sort of special security permissions that might not be extended to System Services? Actually, are you currently running Pagegate as an Application or Service? |

we are running pagegate as a service
We now have tried running it as an application - still the same behavior
There are no special security permissions. It's a fresh Windows 2003 Server Standard SP 2 installation without any special configuration.

THis may sound elementary, but: You mentioned that it is a "fresh" server 2k3 install. Did you simply copy the old package over to the new install, or did you actually run the Pagegate installation routine on the new OS?_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

The current PG installation is from running the PG installation routine.
Even the database is new (no copy or convert from an older installation/version)
There was a v4 installation on this W2K3 for some days, but it was removed completly as shown in some guides in this forum (shut PageGate down, make sure that services are stopped, close admin, select full uninstall, delete directory)
Significantly, the v4 installation had the same problems (this was the reason to try it with v5).

Are you using the v4 license on the v5 install? V4 and V5 require different registration keys
Additionally, how many recipients do you have loaded? If not properly licensed, pagegate will only run for 2 recipients for a short time_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

It is definitely the v5 license (v5 is shown in PG Admin / Registration Information).
The license is for 25 recipients (this is also correctly displayed in Registration Information). We have 11 recipients.

Try installing the software on another computer. We've seen this happen once or twice and have never been able to fully explain it. It only seems to happen with German versions of Windows XP. It only seems to happen on particular systems, though, because each time I've seen this, we've installed it on a separate system and not had any issues at all. |

Hi,
I use Window Server 2003 SP2 (not Windows XP, but GERMAN Version).
It is not possible to change the Server.
It is also not possible to disable the GUI Client with pgadmin (Error: Exessive Database Error 3061 1 Parameter ....)

Can you post your PageGate serial number from the license, so we can verify to be sure there isn't a problem with it?
Thanks |

Serial Number: 13975
I have 2 errors:
- pgadmin: Enable / Disable GUI Client ==> Excessive Database Errors 3061 ... edit_gui apply
- pgsched.log: Program halted. Database Error 3061 ... check_licence
Only for Test:
- I have installed PageGate on another system: its work.
- I copied the pagegate.mdb to the original Server => same errors as before
- The Database on the Testsystem afert a rebuild has 520 kB and the copied db on original server has after the rebuild 640 kB (???)
