Hello,
So I was able to set up NotePager Pro and am able to get it to work when I use the 10digitphonenumber@carrier info. But is there any way to get this to work where we have multiple users (200+) on different carriers with out knowing the carriers the users are on?

Thanks

The ONLY way to use the package without knowing the individual wireless carrier info is by adding a Cellular Modem. With this method, all you need to know is the 10 digit number of the recipient's cell phone. (NOTE: A cellular modem will NOT work for Alphanumeric Pagers - just cell phones)

Doubtful -

IF the Blackberry model is capable AND the carrier it is subscribed to allows a user to acccess the device via the AT command set AND allows it to be remotely placed into text entry mode, then it can be used with NotePager Pro.

We have installed MANY MultiTech brand Industrial Cellular modems with NotePage Inc. packages

Your CHEAPEST is textgroupie.com

Your most efficient is PageGate with a MultiTech modem - that is what we install for Call Centers and Public Safety (911) dispatch centers in North America

If you want GSM (ATT, TMobile) - this is the one you want:

http://www.multitech.com/PRODUCTS/Families/MultiModemGPRS/

(different models of this one reflect different physical connections to your PC <USB, RS232, Ethernet>)

OK and with this set up we could send txt's to our users regardless of who their providers are, all we would have to know is their cell phone number. Correct?

Also if we were to buy a modem how much is the monthly access fee from the cell company? Is it just like adding a line to an account or does it cost 100's of dollars a month?

YES: All you need is the recipient's 10 digit# (cell phones - NOT pagers)

Access fee is simply adding another line to your cellular account and buying the unlimited text messaging option
