I am brandy new to the pagegate software so bear with me here a little bit:
I am wanting to set up a system that receives alarm emails from a separate SMTP system and routes them to various destinations based on an on-call schedule. That much I have determined is possible using the pagegate software.
One issue I am not sure pagegate can help me with though involves the acknowledgement of alarms and escalation.
1. Is it possible for pagegate to periodically continue forwarding a page until some sort of acknowledgement is received? We would like to be continually bothering somebody until we know that an alarm has been acknowledged.
2. Additionally, if the alarm does not get acknowledged we would like to escalate the paging to an additional specified pager or set of pagers for a backup just in case.
Again, the system we've got already sends out emails, and all pagegate really has to do is forward these emails to specified emails based on the above criteria. Is it possible to do this, and if so... how?
Thanks a bunch,
Corey
