Within Pagegate, I understand that up to 80 characters of text before a colon (:) will be placed in the subject line of an email if that option is enabled.
Our problem is that the first characters of EVERY message sent by us, has the message number, then the hour and minute seperated by a colon, hard coded at the start of each message as in the following example:
123) 12:30 PM 770-XXX-XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXX
Obviously the result is an email subject line that contains "123) 12".
Is there a work around for this? I have a huge prospect that requires text from the message inserted in the subject line in order to close the deal. Can another character be substituted? Ideas?
Thanks!

When extracting a subject from the message (if that option is selected), PageGate looks in the first 80 characters for the first occurrence of a carriage-return, linefeed, tab, or colon, and considers everything to the left of it the message subject.
I will look into if removing the colon is an option or not.
Will one of the other existing characters work for you, if the colon can be removed from the list of what PageGate looks for?

I'd like to know that as well.. If we can take out the : or use something else like a ~ which is less likely to be part of a message?

Yeah.. we are really hoping to be able to do the same.
We send out alerts about websites going down and if the alert says https://www.google.com then the subject line will cut off at "web site https"

Right now, PageGate keys off of the colon for the subjecft. There's not really a way to get around it right now but I'm looking into it and will post anything as I find it.
