Hi,
I have Pagegate and a valid license for GetAscii and GUI Client modules, my rego details are..
Version 5.0
Serial XXXXX
License 5
Connectors 1
Ticked = Client & GetAscii
In "Run on this server" Shceduler, GetAscii and Connector1 are ticked.
PageGate is running as a Windows Service.
Under "Interfaces - Global - Status" both GetAscii and GUI Client are "Running".
In "Interfaces-GetAscii-Settings" if I try to tick "Enabled" nothing happens, it's not greyed out but no tick appears.
When I add a new recipient under "Enabled Services" only "GUI Client" is enabled, all other services including GetAscii are greyed out and are unselectable.
How do I "Enable" GetAscii ?
thankyou.
Dave

What do you have as the polling directory in the Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings? Chances are, it's eitehr blank or you don't have a valid path specified there. If the path is invalid or blank, it won't let you enable it. So, you'll want to set the polling directory to the directory GetAscii needs to monitor for data. After you do that, it should let you enable it.

Hi,
since I don't know which directory to monitor I just pointed it to the root of C: and I can now enable it so thanks that's great.
However I cannot get Solarwinds Orion to use PageGate, is the directory I'm supposed to be monitoring somehting to do with Orion?
thanks
Dave

Yes, yes it does. Instead of pointing GetAscii to the root of C:, create a new directory off the root called Ascii. Then point the polling directory to c:\ascii\
Now, with Orion, you can have it execute a command line. That command line is going to be in the c:\ascii\ directory. Specifically, it's going to be:
c:\ascii\sendpage.exe
