I'm having pretty much the same issue as described in the topic:

http://www.notepage.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1158

Where the Getmail service stops working at midnight and doesn't respond until I restart the machine (it does accumulate messages in the MailIn directory but doesn't send them out, just like the original poster). This is happening every day.

Also, the Windows Event Viewer shows a number of errors with the following text:

Quote:
Faulting application PGMailServer.exe, version 4.9.1.0, faulting module PGMailServer.exe, version 4.9.1.0, fault address 0x000041fe.

On the other topic the poster was advised to upgrade to version 4.0.0.96, but this is the version I'm using already. The machine is Windows XP Professional SP3.

Thanks in advance for your help.

1) Go to the Services list in the Administrative Tools.

2) Right click on the PGMailserver service and left click on Stop.

3) Go to Start - Run.

4) Type the following and click on OK: command

5) In the command prompt, you'll need to change directories to whatever directory you installed PageGate to.

6) Once there, type the following and hit enter:

pgmailserver uninstall

7) If it didn't give you any errors, reboot the system. When the system comes back up, the service should then reinstall itself and begin to function properly. If you did get any errors, please let us know what they are.

PageGate v4 can be upgraded to v5 for $100.00. Download a free evaluation (2 recipients enabled and restart every 3-5 days) of PageGate v5 software, and new features are listed at http://www.notepage.net/pagegate-v5.htm

- Followed the instructions.
- Didn't get any errors when running the command.
- Rebooted the system.

Upon reboot, the services started properly and functioned correctly, but when I checked the next day, the same thing happened: service was hung since midnight. Also, the Windows Event Viewer keeps showing the same errors.

My best recommendation would be to update to PageGate version 5. We've made a lot of changes with regards to stability issues, especially where it concerns the GetMail and MailServer portions of the program.

Upgraded to v5 and has been working without problems for the last couple of days. Thanks.
