They suggested using Alltel's snpp setup (snpp.alltel.net) but this didn't work. I think they have a solution but it comes with a price. I was hoping they would be on the snpp list that NotePage has. They talked about a large third party company that works with most of the cell phone providers but I didn't catch the name.

They were probably referring to one of the SMS aggregators (see USShortcode.com )
It sounds like they do not have a network but are a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator). Basically, a MVNO buys wholesale access to a cell netowrk and resells it under their own name (Virgin Mobile is probably the largest).
If they aren't willing to allow their subscribers to receive text messages - you are basically not going to be able to message them_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

I think Viaero partners with AT&T and T-Mobile in different areas. PageGate software supports sending messages out using a GSM modem or GSM wireless device, or try testing with AT&T and T-Mobile protocol formats.
You may also want to upgrade from PageGate v4.0 to v5 for a $100.00. New features are listed at http://www.notepage.net/pagegate-v5.htm

I wouldn't have a problem upgrading to v5.0 if PageGate had some way to auto update the 300+ clients that we have on our desktops, or is this one of the new features?

Unfortunately - pgv4 to pgv5 requires a new client install as well. Have you considered the getWEB module? makes upgrades easier since it uses a browser interface_________________ Aaron D. Osgood
