After all this time running the software, I was cleaning out the scum bucket today and see that AVG Anti-Malware 7.5 has identified PGVerify.exe as Trojan Downloader.VB.7.F on 2/14/08.

Have other customers reported this? Was there something wrong with it? This file has been installed in the same location since I upgraded to v5.0.

I don't know if I should tell it to ignore this file, or if there really IS something wrong with it.

If it is infected - it must have happened after download. After mentioning this post while speaking with Tech Support on another issue, I thought I'd point out what they told me. Since PGVerify, in effect, attempts to start an system service, it appears to some scanners as malware since they are programmed to look for those action types.

Hope this helps
