If you go into the PageGate Admin and go to the settings of the dbell recipient, under Enabled Services, is GetAscii checked?

I check the box on the recipient me - dbell to enable getascii
I take my test file test.asc and drop it in the ascii folder.

test.asc contents listed below

dbell
dbell

test

the log still says that I am not a valid recipient
and I go back and look and my getascii box is not diabled.

Did you restart the PageGate server after making your changes just for fun?
