|
|
On any client, when trying to open Pagegate, I get the error "Access Denied: Unable to access the paging server's database. This is usually caused by insufficient rights to the file."
I can browse to the network share where the file is located, the permissions are proper with the appropriate groups having read and write permissions. I have also tried rebuilding the file through the Pagegate DB Tools.
Any ideas? Also, is the only method for receiving support on this product?
Thanks.

Go to the system that's hosting the actual directory and verify the NTFS permissions. Sometimes the network permissions will be set correctly but the "everyone" group won't have full control as an NTFS permission.

The NTFS permissions are correct. Also, I am logged in as a domain admin and receiving this error.

Hmm... I'm not sure what to tell you. The trouble you're running into is a permission of some variety, whether it be network or NTFS.
Do you have the individual users setup for separate logins in the permissions or do you have the 'everyone' user configured for the NTFS and network permissions?

Originally authenticated users and users had the appropriate access, but I went ahead and added everyone, as well with no success.
