What could be causing this? Thanks

Is this a Known sender? My first suspicion is error on their end - nod sending according to the TAP specs. Alternatively, it could be something a simple as a bad or loose connection between the modem and PC (static discharge injecting false characters?)

Thanks for the reply, This is coming in from an alarm system communicator (Texecom Com2400), The communicator sends the text when dialling in through the UK Cellnet TAP terminal but thats what i get when it goes through PageGate and PageGate is setup correctly because it is recieving ok from SMSC dialin software
