Has anyone had any problems with v5 of pagegate? We have had a few different issues such as page gate client shutting off without notice plus the client not coming up when logging onto the pc, etc.....
I am in the process of upgrading the PC's NIC cards from 10/100 to 1 gig cards to see if this will improve performance. So what do you think? Thanks.

I was wondering if I could get a little more information. When you say that the client shuts off with no notice, do you mean that it loses its connection to the server or that the application itself simply vanishes unexpectedly and with no error message?

Also, in regards to the Client not coming up when logging on to the PC, do you have the PGC.exe in your Windows Startup?

Pagegate just simply vanishes unexpectedly and with no error message.

When the PC is logged on the user brings up pagegate by clicking the icon and when the client comes up the recipient list is blank.

That definitely sounds like packet loss or network trouble. The only reasons the GUI Client list would be blank would be if it couldn't read the users table in the database or none of the recipients in the PageGate Admin had the GUI Client service enabled.
