Is there any way to add multiple SMTP carriers that point to different SMTP servers? I want to be able to send directly to the carriers e-mail server as opposed to have to relay through a server. It appears that even though I create a second SMTP carrier it still uses a common setting for the SMTP delivery. Can this be changed?

As a general rule, SMTP is a different sort of protocol than any other SMS style protocol. SMTP settings are global settings that can either be handled in one of two ways. The first is direct delivery where the program uses your local DNS Servers to do a DNS lookup on a mail host and then attempts to directly connect to that host over port 25. Now, if something is blocking port 25 or the connecting host refuses the DNS connection, the second option has to be used: delivering through a local email server. Due to the nature of the protocol and delivery methods, it has to be either one or the other and all SMTP carriers must use the same delivery method.

Just as suggestion on your next release then, move the SMTP options under the general setting. It was confusing when I added a second SMTP carrier and then found out that it changed the first SMTP carrier after I had wasted alot of time changing users to the second SMTP carrier I had created. Even just restricting the system to 1 SMTP carrier would be great also.

Thanks

Set up a single SMTP carrier and point ALL smtp recipients to it - simply change the recipient device email address on each recipient
