I just upgraded from V4 to V5. The following are some points you may be interested in.
1. The instructions don't tell one to remove any security before updating. I didn't and could not log in to V5. Had to uninstall V5, reinstall V4, clear security, uninstall V4 again, and reinstall V5. Then all worked.
2. The arrow for context help in PGAdmin says it cannot find the file PG.HLP. The only help file I could find was pg.chm.
There are several other small points that I haven't been able to recreate consistently yet. I will forward them when I can.

It's not that the security needs to be cleared in version 4, it's that you need to know the login names. Version 4 didn't have login names, version 5 does. So, when you convert from Version 4 to Version 5 with security settings, version 5 assigns usernames based on the previous level of access. The usernames and rights are as follows:
Former access: Complete
Version 5 username: Master
Former access: Administrative
Version 5 username: Admin
Former Access: Reports Only
Version 5 Username: Reports
Former Access: Client
Version 5 Username: Client

That's because the context sensetive help doesn't currently function. We haven't found a way to make it work in all version of Windows, so currently, it doesn't work. The .chm files in the PageGate directory are the manuals and documentation for version 5.

As stated in this forum, there current isn't a working pg.hlp file. When do you expect this to be working or are you planning on removing the (?) icon in the next service pack release?

The problem with the '?' in the v5 release was an oversight and is something we are working to resolve.
