When trying to send a SMS text via a siemens TC35 I get teh CMS error 28 message, however when I send an sms from a mobileusing the same SIM I have no problems. Any ideas what is causing this

Which of our programs are you using? Can you post what the dialer log displays?

The error means 'unidentified subscriber' according to the errolist on http://www.activexperts.com/activsms/sms/gsmerrorcodes/

Please check the number format when sending a message. should be international number format
