Only users with administrative privledges can run NotePager

Only users with Administrative accounts can run notepager pro on a windows xp pro sp2 machine in our domain. We need all users to have access to the program. Non administrave users get error message "another instance is running" and program shuts down.

Fatal database error: Jet database engine cannot open file c:\programfiles\notepagerpro\npp.mdb. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data. InProceedure: main program halted.

NotePager Pro does require 'administrative' access to its own database. Which is to say, it needs ot be able to read, write, and delete lines from the database. Also, when the database is accessed, it creates a 'lock' file. When the program is closed, the lock file is removed, hence the need to be able to create, modify, and delete files.

What you may want to do is reinstall the program to the root of the hard drive (C:\NotePager Pro\) instead of the Program Files directory. Then make sure to set the directory permissions on the NotePager Pro directory so that everyone has full access.
