I tried configuring for WCTP but noticed that I MUST enter the carrier as WCTP. This appears to be the same for SMTP and SNPP as well. My question is can I only have ONE WCTP carrier listed? If this is correct does that mean I can only have one carrier that is using WCTP? What do I do if I want to have all the different carriers under WCTP. Am I doing something wrong? When using TAP numbers it doesn't matte how many carriers I have.

No, you can have multiple carriers that use the same protocol no matter what the protocol. Each Carrier uses a different host for the WCTP and SNPP protocols, such as wctp.metrocall.com/wctp for Metrocall and wctp.americanmessaging.net/wctp for American Message and snpp.alltel.net for Alltell and pecos.nextel.com for Nextel.

How do I differentiate them as carriers?

When configuring the carriers, just give them a different name.

I have tried this. I tried naming one Arch WCTP so that I could differentiate it between my Arch TAP but it said illegal characters in the name and would not take it.

Ah, it was rejecting the space. Replace the space with an underscore or dash and it'll accept the name.
