Yes we are getting this error message now "Fatal Databse error: 3501" - Notepager cannot not be open since it is already open by another user.
I rebooted the pc after that and itr worked fand closed it fine for a while. After I logged off the pc our assist Chief came in later today and tried to page when he logged on the pc he got the same error massage.
I need to know what is going on so I can fix this problem.

The first thing you'll want to do is the next time this starts happening, go into the NotePager Pro directory on your hard drive and see if there is a file there called npp.ldb

If there is, delete it and try to open the program.

Okay I went into Notepager Pro Directory and I could not find no npp.ldb file to delete actually could not find hardly any files in it.
Now on this computer there are 2 folders in the C:\program folder location.
1st one is Notepager net
2nd on eis Notepager Pro
Could both of these files corrupting our Notepager Pro prgram?
We also have this pc hooked up to a Network with a server, but the server has no paging software on it. So who ever logs on this pc they each use their own username and password.
We also had instead beofre Winbeep (which is un-stalled)which does not work with Archwireless anymore. Could maybe something with WInbeep is not letting Notepager Pro work?

Here's what I'd like you to try:

1) Go to the NotePager Pro directory.

2) Make a backup copy of the npp.mdb file (on CD, on flash drive, anywhere that's easily accessible).

3) Go to Start - Control Panel.

4) Go to Add/Remove Programs.

5) Uninstall NotePager Pro.

6) Uninstall NotePager Net (or anything that begins with NPN).

7) Reboot the computer.

8) Browse to the Program Files directory.

9) If the NotePager Pro or NotePager Net directories still exist, delete them.

10) Re-download the installation file for NotePager Pro from our website (http://www.notepage.net - The download button under the NotePager Pro section in the center of the page).

11) Reinstall NotePager Pro.

12) After the installation finishes but BEFORE you run the program again, copy the npp.mdb backup you made in step 2 back into the NotePager Pro directory.

That should fix the problem but if not, please let us know.

Question where do I find the npp.mdb file at??? Last time I tried to send u a copy of npp.mdb file in another post above I beleive I did not have one.
Can I also just do a back up on users and carriers as well and then re-install them when I re-install NotePager Pro?

Thanks
Dan

Dan,

1) Using the Windows explorer, browse to the c:\program files\notepager pro\ directory.

2) You'll need to be able to view File Extentions. To do so, go to Tools -> Folder Options.

3) In the Folder Options, go under the View Tab.

4) UNCHECK "Hide extensions for known file types" and click on OK.

You should now be able to see the npp.mdb file in the directory. Making a backup of this file will back up your carriers, recipients, and program settings.
