I am having a problem getting US Cellular to work with the Note Page. Any suggestions? Is it SNPP, SMTP? Your site has the #@USCC.textmsg.com and #@email.uscc.net. Which one is correct?
Thanks!

As far as we're aware, they don't support the SNPP protocol.
US Cellular supports both SMTP hosts but we've had more success with the @email.uscc.net host than the uscc.textmsg.com host. |

In addition to Tech Support's comment - keep in mind that US Cellular does not automatically activate the phone's email address by default. If the intended recipient does not receive the messages - he/she will need to specifically request activation of the phone's email address. THere will probably be charges associated with that as well._________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Hi,
I am trying to use "Phonenumber@email.uscc.net" to send text messages to US Cellular devices.
And my co-worker did not receive the messages.
Should he activate his US Cellular email account, too, to get the text message?
Thank you!

It really depends on the phone? The phone does need to have the ability to receive SMS via Email in order to receive the message, so you may want to have them verify that's enabled.
Did the message say that it was successfully sent but the phone never received it? |

Yes, PageGate says that it was sent out successfully.
But the device didn't receive the message...
I will try to check if the device can receive SMS via email.
Thank you!

Don't confuse SMS with text messages to the phone's email address = they are 2 different technologies. SMS (Short Message Service) is the phone to phone technology while SMTP (Email) allows messages to be injected into the SMS system from outside. Un USCellular's particular case, the recipient will need to specifically request that the phone's email address be activated in order to receive SMTP messages. THey can do this by dialing 611 from the handset which will connect them to their customer service department. USCellular MAY charge an additional monthly fee to the end user for this service_________________ Aaron D. Osgood
