Hi. Does anyone know what the settings are to send SMS via NotePage32 in New Zealand?
I suspect they use a password.

Any ideas?

According to Vodafone's NZ website, you need to contact them for TAP access details.

(under - "How do I do I get a connection?")

Unfortunately they have a userpay system only.
I was wondering if anybody had found out what the appropriate settings were.
Thanks.

Please contact the carrier for their protocol settings if not at http://www.notepage.net/support.htm

NotePager 32 enables you to send a text message from your computer, via a dial-up modem, to a single mobile phone or pager. The recipient's carrier must also support one of the dial-up modem (protocols TAP, GSM, UCP and TONE).

NotePager Pro enables you to send text messages from your computer, via a Internet connection (protocols SNPP, WCTP, SMTP) or a dial-up modem (protocols TAP, GSM, UCP, TONE). Features include group paging with multiple carriers and reports. Comparison chart at http://www.notepage.net/comparison.htm

To set up NotePager Pro in the menu bar select 'Tools' - 'Wizards' - 'Setup'. Also choose 'Connection', 'Carrier' and 'Recipient'.

If you are dialling a tap gateway you will need to contact them as its users pays and I doubt anyone is willing to pass there account details around. But just a note on there tap gateway we used to find it fairly unreliable I think all it is is a modem sitting on someones desk!!

Although another way is just attaching a gsm modem putting a sim card in and using it that way, which we have found much more reliable
