First off I would like to say that Notepager32 and Notepager pro are great programs. I have installed notepager32 in several computers and have not had any problems until today.

I installed notepager32 on a Dell optiplex GX400 with windows 2000 professional. When I send myself a "test page", all I get is 999 on my pager. No matter what I type in to display on my pager, all I get is 999. Also, it will not send out everytime. Sometimes it will work the first time. Sometimes it will take several attempts. Sometimes not at all. I have never had this happen before.

I know all my settings are right and I always set the init string to auto.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Tim

The reason it is sending "999" as the message body, is that in the Recipient's settings, either "Alpha" is unchecked or "Notify Only" is.

As to why it does not connect consistently, it is probably due to the type of modem that you have and an "Init String" which may not be quite right.

What type of modem is it, and what are is the "Init String" in your Carrier settings?

Also, Baud Rate, Data Bits, Stop Bits and Parity.
