Let me start by saying I am brand new to working with your product. I have recently transferred in, and have been given the admin duties to the local pagegate system here.
For the last 4 - 5 days, the GetMail interface to our PageGate system has been very slow to relay messages to pagers, if it relays them at all. We are currently running V 4.0 with a 5000 user license. I have checked the Mailin folder for messages, but it is empty. The mail system we are using is Exchange 5.5.
We are required to make hourly checks of the system by sending a test page to the helpdesk pager. I sometimes get messages from my exchange server stating that a message addresses to the pager could not am delivered for the last four hours. Most times about one out of every 10 messages will get relayed to the pager in a timely manner. All the others get queued up somewhere (please tell me where), because about twice a day, it will relay all the messages that have not been sent.
I have no documentation on how the system was setup and installed here. I have checked the forum and FAQ for answers, but have found none. Please let me know the process flow for sending a page from my exchange server, through the GetMail interface, and delivered to a pager.
