We have just started using pagegate. I found that if a user enters a scheduled page, another user can alter or delete the page from the schedule. Is there a way I can set permissions so that only the original sender can modify or delete the page ?

In PageGate's GUI Client in the menu bar select 'File' - 'Setup'. Select 'Display Options' and click the 'Remove Options Button' box. Users will then not be to alter or delete the page from the schedule.

In the Display Options screen preset buttons, logs and reports can also be removed from a users GUI Client window.

In the PageGate Admin module you may aslo want to set passwords to manage user access. Select 'Program' - 'Password Protect': Master Password, Admin Password, Report Password, Client Password.

Sorry. I seem to have given the wrong impression of what I need to do.

I need my users to have access to the options button so that they can schedule pages to occur in the future. The problem I have discovered is that any user can view the scheduled pages and modify or delete them. That would be ok for the person who originally sent the page, but nobody else should be able to modify or delete it. Is there a way that I can configure pagegate to restrict access to modifications/deletions based on the userid ?

Sorry about that. I think we know what you want now.

In the PageGate Client, go to 'File' -> 'Setup'. There is a field named 'Station Number'. This is the field you are interested in. Here is how it works:

PageGate Client programs with the same Station Number share the same history. They can view and modify all message sent from PageGate Clients with the same Station Number. This is desirable when a group of people share a job (i.e. dispatching). However, if you only want the users to be able to view and modify their own messages, then you will want to assign each PageGate Client its own Station Number. Station numbers can be between 10 and 30,000.
