We are needing to send about 10,000 text messages per day. We have researched development software providers that charge setup fees, fees for their software, and a per message credit fee to send text messages through carrier gateways; stating that all carriers charge a fee to to send bulk text through their gateways. Why is your product able to send these free of charge through carrier gateways? How reliable is delivery of each message sent? How fast could this amount of messages be sent over a dial up connection? Other users please give your past experience input as well please.
THANX!!

When NotePage's software is used it acts as the gateway, sending the message directly to the carrier. NotePage's software does not use any third party gateways, it passes the message directly to the carriers using whatever protocols that specific carrier supports.

In order to use NotePage's software you must know the carrier and the settings for that carrier along with the information for the specific pager and cell phone you wish to send to.

Please let me know if you require further clarification.
Thank you

How fast could 10,000 messages be sent over a dial up connection using NotepagerPro (an estimate round about figure will be great)? Is the service reliable enough to get most of the messages delivered (do you have any info. on the % actually delivered)
Thank you!

As mentioned ealier NotePager Pro will allow you to send text messages out your computer's modem. However, you may want to consider PageGate with the GUI Interface, which can better handle sending a large amount of text messages at one time, especially if you are using a modem.

We do not charge a fee for sending text messages because we do not provide any services. NotePager Pro or PageGate run on your computer or server, and the text messages are sent to the recipient's carrier. That is why you must know the recipient's carrier and which protocol they support.

A dial-up modem, using the TAP or GSM protocols, is more reliable than the Internet protocols, especially SMTP. Reliability is related to protocols, rather than NotePage software, which is used by hospitals and emergency services.

There are many different factors in how quickly messages are sent, determining how speed of delivery is difficult. A broadband Internet connection will be faster as the modem has to dial-up and then hang-up for each carrier. The amount of messages, the number of recipients and the carriers will be a factor.
