I'm now trying to set up our last license on a laptop to send the messages through a dialup netzero account. Notepager tries to send the messages but they fail to complete. Is there something different about sending through a dialup internet account than through an always on internet system?

If you connect to the Internet before sending the message, then there shouldn't be any difference between the two. However, NetZero may have some blocking mechanisms in place that is stopping the messages from being delivered.
I can probably suggest ways of testing this, depending on what version of our software you are using. What product and version are you trying this with? |

To test if NetZero is blocking some of the Internet delivery ports,
please do the following.
1.) Connect to NetZero
2.) Start NotePager Pro
3.) Run the Internet Connect Wizard
('Tools' - 'Wizards' - 'Connection' - 'Internet')
What are the results?
SMTP - Pass/Fail ?
SNPP - Pass/Fail ?
WCTP - Pass/Fail ?
Which Protocol(s) are you using for your Carriers (Nextel, Verizon and
AT&T)?
If NetZero is blocking Port 25, SMTP will not work. |
