Connection to nextel .... Using the(10 digitphone#)@ messaging.nextel.com with SMTP, upon connection I get an unable to connect with server... when the message is sent.... Any suggestions...

We normally suggest using SNPP to send messages to Nextel phones. This protocol is quicker and seems to be more reliable.

The Host address for Nextel will be either

snpp.nextel.com

or

pecos.nextel.com

Use the Recipient's 10 digit phone number as the ID/Pin.

Currently, Nextel does not use passwords.
