Hi,

Is there a way in NotePage 32 or NotePager Pro to create a SMS text message with a User Data Header (UDH) containing a port number? I need this feature to trigger my Java application on a GSM mobile phone.

In a few other SMS paging software typically this can be accomplished by setting the recepient's number like +91234567890:8000

i.e. <mobile number>:<port number>

Thanks.

Unfortunately, no, there isn't a way to do it with our programs. The ports for SMS protocols are static variables and cannot be changed or changed in the body of a message.

If you mean that when the GSM phone receives a message it triggers the Java then you should be able to do it by modifying the sender info. YOu then have the Java app trip when it receives from defined sender
