This is an extended log

I[i][b] don't think I have the right init string but I have tried them all
I tried a POT on the line and it dials out correctly.
The modem is a BCT or Broadcom I guess. and It does respond to hyperterminal modem at commands. I might have something incorrectly configure in pagegate[/b][/i].

The trouble you're running into is that PageGate can't access the modem, so it can't dial out.

If you would, go into the Control Panel and go to the Phone and Modems icon. Once there, go under the Modems tab and write down whichever COM port the modem is attached to.

Once you have that, go into the PageGate Admin.

Go to the Connectors - Dialer1 - Settings section and match the "Serial" port here to the COM port the modem is attached to.

After you've done that, reset the init string in the dialer AND the carrier to the (auto) option. If that doesn't work, please let us know.
