I'm not sure why it would work for USAMobility but not Cingular. Have you tried using Cingular's alternate SMTP host celphonenumber@cingularME.com ?

oddly enough on another computer the same settings work just fine....different location....the IP is comcast.........so I set outgoing relay to smtp.comcast.net. Is that correct. The individual email sites have been tried at XXXXXXXXXX@mobile.mycingular.com this works on the one computer........The unregistered version USED to work on the computer in question. I deleted the non-registered version to load from the disk.........and for unknown reasons does not work. Should I try deleting and reloading ?

Paul,
Before you uninstall and reinstall the program, there is one setting I'd like you to check. On the system where it's working, go to Tools - Settings - General and look at the Sender's Name field. Then go to the system where it isn't working and look at the same field. Match them and see if it starts working.

Generally, you can't use someone else's DNS entries. You couldn't use mine, for example. The only way you could use a set of DNS entries other than your own is if they were truly 'public' DNS hosts and I haven't seen any of those in about ten years now.
