Make sure the RECIPIENT has email activated on the device - even though Cingular's terminals may be accepting the message from your system (hence, the SUCCESSFUL stamp), they will not send it through to the phone unless the specific device account has that feature activated. Additionally, Cingular has stated as a matter of policy that they will NOT SUPPORT using their SMTP gateway(s) for messaging so they offer no guarantee that the message(s) will be delivered. For drastically more reliable messaging to their devices, they steer users toward their "Enterprise Paging" division where, for about $10.00 per phone per month, they will provision a phone to accept messages via TAP, SNPP, and WCTP (FAR more reliable than SMTP).
