Hello,

I need some advice on my ID/PIN for an Orange mobile.

I am connecting using SNPP and can send messages but do not receive them. I suspect the ID/PIN is incorrect.

I have been using the 10 digit mobile number and also tried the area code in fron (44 for UK).

Please advise (paul.fearn@orange.net)

I will try to see what we can find. What is the SNPP server address that you are using?

I have tried the following and both appear to accept the message but it never gets delivered.

Communications Specialist 65.83.63.245 444
Contact Paging(aka SelectPath) page.contactwireless.com 444

I think my ID/PIN is not correct but need some examples of others to be sure.

Typically SNPP servers only accept/deliver messages for a single carrier. Do you have information that Communication Specialists or Contact Paging will pass messages to Orange?

No I don't have any information like this.

I was just trying the services that were listed.

I guess this could be my problem.

You need to contact Orange and find out what methods they support for accepting text messages. The most common protocols in the UK would be TAP, UCP or SMTP.

We used to have a TAP number for them, but it is no longer working. They may have a new number now.
