UK Vodafone TAP Connection Problems

Hi,

I am just trialling NotePager Pro but I am unable to send a text message.

I have a 56k Diamond SupraExtress 56e Pro modem connected directly to a working BT PSTN line. The following is what I have set for the Vodafone carrier:

Carrier: Vodafone
Protocol: TAP
Phone Number: 07785499993
Baud Rate: 115200
Parity: None
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bits: 0
Init String: auto
Max Chars: 240

It really should just be a matter of finding the init string that your modem likes and can use to connect to a carrier, though I did notice one thing in your carrier settings we'll probably want to reset. Most TAP Terminals can't communicate at 115200. In fact, I'd recommend setting the baud rate to either 300, 1200, or 9600 depending upon what the carrier recommends. If you're not sure what to set it to, 1200 is always a good mediu.

After you reset the baud rate, reset the init string back to (auto) and let's see what happens.
