Alltel has TAP support. They have several different phone numbers to dial into depending on where you are. You can see the TAP phone numbers for Alltel here: http://www.notepage.net/tap-phone-numbers-a.htm
Alltel also supports SMTP if you want to deliver over the Internet. SMTP isn't as a reliable protocol for paging as TAP, so only use it as a second choice. You can find Alltel's SMTP settings here: http://www.notepage.net/smtp.htm

We have tried to SMTP, but it will not connect to the server. What setting do you use when you setup SMTP in NotePager Pro? Local Domain, etc.

Are you unable to connect to the SMTP server, or are you connecting and it is rejecting your messages?
You can turn on more detailed logging by hitting <ctrl><alt><d> while on NotePager Pro's main screen. This may give you more usefull information.
It would be helpful if you post here what the dialer log says after you attempt to send a message.

Here are a couple of settings you will need to change to make it work:
Go to 'Tools' -> 'Settings' -> 'General'
Put in a single-word name for the 'Sender'
Apply the change
Go to 'Carriers' -> 'Edit' -> 'Alltel' -> 'Edit'
Put in your email domain name for 'Local Domain' (this is what is after the '@' in your regular email address).
Please make these changes and send another test. Then post the results back here.
