Hello,
1. We have ASP.NET application which sends emails using PageGate. It went well. Then after a couple of months, the application suddenly got extremely slow, whenever it tried to access the MSAccess database.
I believe that this is something to do with web application rather than PageGate, but if anyone had same issue, would you share your knowledge and experiences with us?
2. Can we use different database such as Oracle besides Access?
3. We would like to add another server with PageGate service for failover capability. Can you recommend any idea of how to have those capability? I was thinking to have two servers pointing one database in a shared drive. But I am concerned that Access file is not that robust as much as we expect.
Thank you!!

1. It's not a problem I've had reported before but if I do find anything in regards to that, I will update to this thread.
2. No, PageGate can only read the Jet Engine Database format, which is based in the MS-Access format.
3. You can do exactly what you're thinking (one database on a shared drive) but you'll need to make sure that only one PageGate Server is running at a time. When the primary PageGate Server goes down, then you can bring the secondary server up. If you have them both running at the same time, you'll corrupt your database. |

Regarding #1) Did youmake antivirus / security package changes/updates around the same time you noticed the slowdown. The symptoms you describe lead me to think it may be directly attributable to your security_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

We don't have antivirus/security package running on that machine.
Do you think that it is because of virus?
We have a planty of memory and cpu, I can't figure out why it gets slow.
After we restarted it, it worked fine. But this morning, after a week, we got the same problem.
It has been working fine for couple of months....
