I'm so excited to see such a wealth of information! There are so many topics that my head is spinning!

I'm extremely interested in all of NotePage's products. Will any of these products help me if I want to add functionality to a Web Server running on Red Hat Linux? In short, are there any platform dependencies?

Thanks

Our products only run on the Windows platform. However, that's not to say that *nix machines can't send data to our PageGate product. PageGate has several interfaces that allow it to accept messages from many sources. Here are some examples of how you could pass data from a *nix machine to PageGate:

1. Use Samba or a similar technology to setup a network folder that both the *nix machine and the PageGate machine can access. Then simple create text files from the *nix machine and save them into the shared folder. PageGate's Commandline/Ascii interface can 'watch' the folder and read in any message files that appear there.

2. Similar to number 1, but use an automated FTP process to move the message files from the *nix machine to the Windows machine.

3. Create email messages and send them to the PageGate computer using something like sendmail. PageGate's Email interface allows it to run as an SMTP server.

4. Similar to number 3, but email the messages to a mailbox on an existing server. PageGate can be setup to periodically POP the mailbox to collect the messages.

5. Setup a serial printer on the *nix computer. Then use a Null modem cable to connect it to the serial port on the PageGate computer. PageGate's Serial Interface can read in the data that arrives over the serial port.

6. Setup IIS on the PageGate computer and have it host PageGate's CGI program that can be linked to from a form on your *nix web server.

There are probably other ways too, but these are the most commonly used methods.
