I am evaluating NotePager Pro. I like it a lot so far. To get it to work, I must put in the full email address of the recipient; yet, I fill out the same information for the carrier, less the recipient info. For example, I enter the recipient information to a Verizon user, 1234123164@vtext.com it goes through fine. I also have the information filled out for the carrier=vtext.com. Why does the carrier information even have to be entered? Also, I am on broadband, not modem.
Thanks,
Doug

If you are setting up recipients to use the SMTP protocol, then you will only have to setup one carrier for all your SMTP recipients. You could use a more generic name like 'smtp-carrier'.
However, some people prefer to setup a carrier in the software for each carrier they use SMTP to deliver to. It isn't necessary, but this is what you would do for other protocols, so it makes the setup easier to understand for other people that may need to maintain the software.
