New Pagegate install with database on different server

We are rebuilding a new pagegate server v.4 and the database is sitting on a different server so that it can get backed up. When we try to change the location of the database in the pagegate software the application does not work. What needs to be done in pagegate or on that machine to point the application to another server for the database.

All you should really have to do is take a copy of the pagegate.mdb file and put it wherever you want the new database directory to be. Once you've done that, you should be able to go into the PageGate Admin and specify the database directory as the UNC path (\\server\directory) to the network directory. I would really, really recommend staying away from mapped drive associations because those depend on someone being logged into the sytem, whereas UNC paths don't.

Also, are you running PageGate as an Application or Windows NT Service?
