how can I delete history log?

After going through the manual as well as the help menu, I cannot find any instructions with regards to deleting the history log. There is no delete button within the history window menu either. There must be some way to accomplish this.

The history can't just be purged. It is meant for a sort of audit trail of who sent what when. The history is automatically purged after it has been in the database for a number of days. You can set the day interval really low (like one day), and the history entries will be gone the next day. You can find this setting under 'Tools' -> 'Settings' -> 'General' -> 'Purge After'.
