Hi,

I'm seeing a weird issue lately with fido. I got 2 PageGate servers, on 2 different ISP. From both of the servers, I can connect via telnet to their smtp server, well the second one in their MX records.

What seems weird, is that with my first server, I can connect to the other mail server, then at the end, I get disconnected, for no reason in the logs.

And from the other server its working fine. I'm thinking that I'm maybe on a black list maybe(with that specific server), but since I'm not getting any reply from their server in the log, i'm not sure...

Also another thing that came to my mind, I know that some SMTP software are recognized as SMTP server for mass mailing, and that are sometimes a bit aggressive, and that are easily recognized by other mail server software. I'm thinking is Pagegate acting differently than a standard SMTP server and that might act a bit aggressive on his connection attempts ?

I know that our own settings can impact a lot, since I can change the Retry time and stuff like that...

Thanks for any info that can be provided!

This does seem a bit odd. If you would, email all of the .log files to support@notepage.com - I'd like to have a look at the full logs to see if there are any patterns there.
