Funny you mentioned that - I've heard from several New England based PageGate install sites that Verizon seems to be "wicked" slow - often 15 minutes or more from the time SEND is pressed until their terminal accepts the message. I've got several calls into Verizon's "Special Services" engineering group. One of the guys there thought that vtext.com may be under a denial of service attack. I'll post when I get concrete info.
