Unable to access database error at 12 midnight

I have a user working in our 24 hour call centre who is having an issue with PageGate GUI client shutting down with a fatal error message about not being able to access the database. This appears to occur at 12:00am if the user is in the process of entering a scheduled message into the system. The logs show PageGate stops it's modules and runs a Database clean-up at 12:00am that lasts 1 or 2 minutes. Would this database clean-up prevent the GUI client from accessing the database resulting in the fatal error? If so is there any workaround, or should the user just be advised to not send or schedule any messages between 12:00 and 12:02AM?

At midnight every night, the PageGate Server goes through a basic cleanup routine that effetively locks the database so it can do error checking on the database's tables. During the cleanup routine, the GUI Client won't be able to access the database and there really isn't a way around that. Just advise the user that between 12:00 AM and 12:02 AM, they won't be able to use the Client.

Is there a way to change the time the database clean-up runs, eg. to 3:00AM?

Not really. It's pretty much set in stone in the foundations of the program.
